Workshop of the artist. Circa 1653/6. Deriving from the portrait of Philip IV by Velazquez, now in the Prado, Madrid. Another version by Velazquez, considered later than that in the Prado, is in the collection of the National Gallery, London.

Possibly, Francisco Jacinto de Salcedo, Madrid, 1664 (as identified in his will “Ten small pictures of the Kings, of three quarter yard square, with black and gold frame”)
